Okay Universe LLC (“Okay Universe,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) operates okayuniverse.com and the Okay Universe storefront. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, why we use it, when we share it, and the choices available to you.

Information we collect

• Contact and account information: name, email address, phone number, billing and shipping address, and account or order details.
• Order and transaction information: products or services purchased, variants, prices, discounts, taxes, fulfillment status, returns, support messages, and limited payment-status information. Shopify and payment providers handle full payment-card details; we do not receive your full card number.
• Service-project information: recordings, stems, reference tracks, notes, project preferences, delivery files, and communications you choose to send for mixing or mastering work.
• Marketing information: the email address you submit, signup source, consent and unsubscribe status, and basic timestamps.
• Device and usage information: IP address, browser and device type, pages viewed, referring page, approximate region, performance data, and interactions with the site or storefront.

How we collect information

We collect information directly from you when you place an order, join a list, contact us, submit project files, or otherwise use an interactive feature. We also collect limited information automatically through site and commerce technology, and receive information from service providers such as Shopify, payment processors, fulfillment partners, carriers, analytics providers, and email providers.

How we use information

• provide the site, process payments, accept and fulfill orders, and deliver services;
• communicate about orders, production, shipping, files, support, returns, and refunds;
• maintain the email list and send release or merchandise updates you requested;
• personalize and improve the site, catalog, customer experience, and site reliability;
• detect fraud, abuse, security incidents, and violations of our terms;
• keep business, tax, accounting, rights, and transaction records; and
• comply with law, enforce agreements, and protect customers, artists, and Okay Universe.

Shopify commerce

Our store and secure checkout are powered by Shopify. When you view store products, add an item to cart, or check out, Shopify processes information needed to provide commerce and payment services. Shopify may use cookies and similar technologies for essential checkout, security, preferences, analytics, and other purposes described in its policies and the choices presented in checkout.

When we share information

We share only what is reasonably necessary with vendors that help us operate, including:

• Shopify and payment providers for storefront, fraud screening, checkout, and payment processing;
• Printify, its print providers, and shipping carriers for made-to-order production and delivery;
• Supabase and Resend for requested email-list records and email delivery;
• Vercel for hosting, performance, security, and privacy-focused site analytics;
• Metricool for cookie-less website visit and approximate-region analytics. Metricool receives the page URL and IP-derived country when the tracking pixel loads. See the Metricool Privacy Policy;
• professional advisers and authorities when reasonably required for legal, tax, safety, or fraud matters; and
• a successor in a merger, financing, reorganization, or sale, subject to applicable law.

We do not sell personal information for money. We do not use personal information for an automated decision that produces legal or similarly significant effects. If applicable law treats a particular analytics or commerce disclosure as a “sale” or “sharing,” you may exercise the opt-out rights provided by the relevant service or contact us.

Email and marketing choices

We send promotional email only when you request it or another lawful basis applies. Every marketing email includes an unsubscribe option. Transactional messages about an order or service may still be sent after you unsubscribe from marketing.

Cookies and local storage

The main site uses limited analytics and browser storage for requested functionality. Shopify checkout and third-party embeds may use cookies or similar technologies under their own policies. You can control many cookies through browser settings and any privacy controls displayed by the relevant service; blocking essential storage can prevent checkout or other features from working.

Embedded media and outside links

The site may embed or link to Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube, Amazon Music, TIDAL, and social platforms. Opening, playing, or interacting with those services can allow them to receive device and usage information. Their own privacy policies govern that activity.

Retention and security

We retain information only as long as reasonably needed for the purposes above, including fulfilling orders and services, maintaining opt-out records, resolving disputes, and meeting tax, accounting, fraud-prevention, and legal obligations. Retention periods vary by record type and applicable law. We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards, but no online transmission or storage system can be guaranteed completely secure.

Your privacy rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, portability, restriction, objection, or an appeal, and to withdraw consent where processing relies on consent. You may also have a right to opt out of certain sales, sharing, or targeted advertising. We will not discriminate against you for exercising a privacy right.

Send a request to info@okayuniversellc.com with the subject “Privacy request.” Describe the right you want to exercise and the email or order information needed to locate your records. We may need to verify your identity and authority before completing a request. Authorized agents may submit a request where allowed by law, subject to verification. You may appeal a denied request by replying to our decision.

International processing

We and our providers may process information in the United States and other countries whose data-protection rules differ from those where you live. Where required, providers use approved legal mechanisms for international transfers.

Children

The site and store are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from a child under 13. A parent or guardian who believes a child has provided information can contact us to request deletion.

Changes

We may update this Policy to reflect changes in our practices, technology, or legal duties. The current version is identified by the date above. Material changes will be communicated where required by law.
